The Independent Pharmacy Buying Group (IPBG) was founded by three independent pharmacists looking for an innovative way to compete in today’s challenging marketplace. They recognize that the real competition for independents comes from national chains, growing mail order houses, and managed care contracts. The key to IPBG’s success is its ability to create the leverage to compete and to provide a marketable identity. IPBG negotiates contracts - like our special buying plan with AmerisourceBergen's Good Neighbor Pharmacy(GNP)-that save money. Our members save an average of $15,000 a year per store. and, increased visibility through TV, radio and print advertising brings increased traffic and sales of both regular and niche products to member stores. The Independent Pharmacy Buying Group has proven that it is a leader in the marketplace. Membership is open to independent pharmacies across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York. |
